Instructions:

  1. Heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
  2. Add the sliced beef to the skillet and cook for 2-3 minutes until browned. Remove the beef from the skillet and set aside.
  3. In the same skillet, add the sliced onion and mushrooms. Sauté until the vegetables are tender and the mushrooms have released their moisture.
  4. Add the minced garlic to the skillet and cook for another minute until fragrant.
  5. Return the cooked beef to the skillet.
  6. In a small bowl, whisk together the Worcestershire sauce, soy sauce, beef broth, dried thyme, salt, and pepper. Pour the mixture into the skillet.
  7. Stir everything together, ensuring the beef and mushrooms are coated with the sauce.
  8. Simmer for 5-7 minutes, allowing the flavors to blend and the sauce to thicken slightly.
  9. Remove from heat and garnish with chopped fresh parsley.
  10. Serve the beef and mushroom skillet over rice, pasta, or mashed potatoes for a satisfying meal.

Tips and Variations:

  • Feel free to add other vegetables like bell peppers, carrots, or peas to the skillet.
  • For a creamier sauce, add a splash of heavy cream or sour cream at the end of cooking.
  • Experiment with different herbs and spices such as rosemary or smoked paprika to customize the flavor profile.
