Beef Tacos with Avocado Lime Crema

Ingredients: For the beef:

  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1 tablespoon chili powder
  • 1 teaspoon cumin
  • 1/2 teaspoon paprika
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • 1/4 cup water

For the avocado lime crema:

  • 1 ripe avocado
  • 1/2 cup sour cream
  • Juice of 1 lime
  • Salt and pepper, to taste

For serving:

  • Taco shells or tortillas
  • Shredded lettuce
  • Diced tomatoes
  • Chopped cilantro
  • Sliced jalapeños (optional)

Instructions:

  1. In a skillet, cook the ground beef over medium heat until browned. Drain any excess grease.
  2. Add the chili powder, cumin, paprika, garlic powder, salt, and pepper to the cooked beef. Stir well to combine.
  3. Pour in the water and simmer for 5-7 minutes until the flavors meld together and the mixture thickens slightly.
  4. Meanwhile, prepare the avocado lime crema. In a blender or food processor, combine the ripe avocado, sour cream, lime juice, salt, and pepper. Blend until smooth and creamy.
  5. Warm the taco shells or tortillas according to package instructions.
