CHIVE AND CHEESE STUFFED MUSHROOMS

Ingredients:

  • 12 large button mushrooms, cleaned and stems removed
  • 1/2 cup cream cheese, softened
  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 teaspoon dried chives
  • 1/2 teaspoon granulated garlic
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

Instructions:

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a bowl, mix together the cream cheese, grated Parmesan cheese, dried chives, granulated garlic, salt, and pepper until well combined.
  3. Stuff each mushroom cap with the cream cheese mixture.
  4. Place the stuffed mushrooms on a baking sheet.
  5. Bake in the preheated oven for about 20 minutes, or until the mushrooms are tender and the filling is golden brown.
  6. Remove from the oven and garnish with chopped fresh parsley.
  7. Serve the chive and cheese stuffed mushrooms as a delightful appetizer or side dish.

Tips:

  • Experiment with different types of cheese for the filling, such as mozzarella or cheddar.
  • If you like a bit of heat, add a pinch of red pepper flakes to the cream cheese mixture.
