Cinnamon Apple Oatmeal

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup old-fashioned oats
  • 2 cups water
  • 1 cup milk (dairy or plant-based)
  • 1 apple, peeled, cored, and chopped
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1 tablespoon honey or maple syrup
  • Pinch of salt
  • Chopped nuts or dried fruits (optional, for topping)

Instructions:

  1. In a saucepan, combine oats, water, and milk. Bring to a gentle boil over medium heat.
  2. Reduce heat to low and add the chopped apple, ground cinnamon, and a pinch of salt. Stir well.
  3. Simmer the oatmeal for about 5-7 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the oats are cooked and the mixture has thickened.
  4. Remove from heat and stir in honey or maple syrup.
  5. Serve the Cinnamon Apple Oatmeal warm, topped with chopped nuts or dried fruits if desired.

Tips:

  • Experiment with different toppings like yogurt, seeds, or a drizzle of nut butter.
