CREAMY THYME CHICKEN (LOW SODIUM – GLUTEN FREE)

Ingredients: (For 4 People)

  • 4 Boneless, Skinless Chicken Breasts
  • 2 Tablespoons Olive Oil
  • 4 Garlic Cloves, Minced
  • 1 cup Low Sodium Chicken Broth
  • 1 cup Low Sodium Heavy Cream
  • 1 tsp. Dried Thyme
  • 1 tbsp Dried Oregano
  • Chopped fresh Parsley for garnish
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions:

  1. Season the chicken breasts with salt and black pepper on both sides.
  2. In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium-high heat.
  3. Add the chicken breasts to the skillet and cook for about 6-7 minutes per side, or until golden brown and cooked Remove the chicken from the skillet and set aside.
  4. In the same skillet, add the minced garlic and cook for 1-2 minutes until
  5. Pour in the low sodium chicken broth and scrape the bottom of the skillet to deglaze it, picking up any browned bits.
  6. Stir in the low sodium heavy cream Oregano and Thyme. Bring the mixture to a simmer and cook for 3-4 minutes untilslightly thickened.
  7. Return the cooked chicken breasts to the skillet and spoon the creamy garlic sauce over Cook for an additional 2-3 minutes, allowing the chicken to absorb the flavors of the sauce.
  8. Remove from heat and garnish with chopped fresh parsley.
  9. Serve the creamy garlic chicken over rice, mashed potatoes, or pasta, and pair it with your favorite steamed vegetables.
