Grilled BBQ Sausage and Peppers

Ingredients:

  • 4 sausages (your choice of flavor, such as Italian, bratwurst, or chorizo)
  • 2 bell peppers (any color), sliced
  • 1 onion, sliced
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1/4 cup barbecue sauce
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions:

  1. Preheat the grill to medium heat.
  2. In a large bowl, toss the sliced peppers and onions with olive oil, salt, and pepper.
  3. Place the sausages and the seasoned peppers and onions directly on the grill grates.
  4. Grill the sausages, turning occasionally, until they are cooked through and have grill marks, usually about 10-12 minutes.
  5. At the same time, grill the peppers and onions until they are softened and slightly charred, about 8-10 minutes.
  6. While grilling, in a small bowl, whisk together the barbecue sauce, Worcestershire sauce, smoked paprika, salt, and pepper to make a glaze.
  7. Brush the glaze over the sausages, peppers, and onions during the last few minutes of grilling, allowing the flavors to meld together.
  8. Remove the sausages, peppers, and onions from the grill.
  9. Serve the Grilled BBQ Sausage and Peppers on a platter or in buns as sandwiches.

Tips:

  • You can use any type of sausage you prefer, such as chicken sausage, turkey sausage, or plant-based sausage, to make it suitable for different dietary preferences.
