Mom's Oven-Baked Chicken and Bacon Recipe

Ingredients:

  • 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 8 slices of bacon
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1/4 cup mayonnaise
  • 2 tablespoons Dijon mustard
  • Toothpicks (optional)
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions:

  1. Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Season the chicken breasts with salt, pepper, and garlic powder on both sides.
  3. Wrap each chicken breast with 2 slices of bacon, securing the ends with toothpicks if needed (optional).
  4. Place the bacon-wrapped chicken breasts on the prepared baking sheet (optional).
  5. In a small bowl, mix together the mayonnaise and Dijon mustard until well combined.
  6. Spread the mayonnaise mixture evenly over the top of each bacon-wrapped chicken breast.
  7. Sprinkle the shredded cheddar cheese over the mayonnaise mixture.
  8. Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes or until the chicken is cooked through and the bacon is crispy.
  9. Remove from the oven and let it cool for a few minutes before serving.

Tips:

  • You can sprinkle additional seasonings like paprika, dried herbs, or chili powder over the chicken for extra flavor.
