Instructions:
- Preheat the grill to medium-high heat.
- In a mixing bowl, combine the ground beef, salt, black pepper, garlic powder, and onion powder. Mix gently with your hands until the seasonings are evenly distributed throughout the meat.
- Divide the meat mixture into 4 equal portions and shape them into burger patties, about 1/2 to 3/4 inch thick. Make a slight indentation in the center of each patty with your thumb to prevent it from puffing up during cooking.
- Place the burger patties on the preheated grill and cook for 4-6 minutes per side, or until they reach your desired level of doneness. For medium-rare, aim for an internal temperature of 130-135°F (55-57°C).
- During the last minute of cooking, place the hamburger buns on the grill to lightly toast them.
- Remove the burger patties from the grill and let them rest for a couple of minutes.
- Assemble your perfect burger by placing the cooked patties on the toasted buns and adding your favorite toppings.
- Serve immediately and enjoy!
Tips:
- Handle the ground beef mixture gently and avoid over-mixing to prevent the burgers from becoming tough.
- You can customize the seasoning mix to your liking by adding other herbs and spices such as Paprika, Oregano, or Worcestershire sauce.
- Don't press down on the burgers with a spatula while they're cooking, as it can cause the juices to escape and result in a drier patty.
- If you prefer cheeseburgers, place a slice of cheese on top of each patty during the last minute of cooking to allow it to melt.
